For this build, I updated and made
-a new tutorial level that introduces the player about the core mechanic and movement
-magic orb that reverts the players form to the previous one
-an exit that advances the player to the next level
From the feedbacks I received, I thought about changing how the first level is laid out because one of the playtester completed the level using a method I didnt even know that could work. But I did not make any changes in the end because I thought it would be fine if there were multiple solutions. I did not pivot my idea yet, I think I'm sticking to my idea that a specific ability should be used in a specific part of the level and the players have to figure out when and what to use. However if they find another way that I don't think would be a shortcut I would not change the map.
I think art in my game plays quite a important part of the story because you are an onion and you are trying to get out of a factory. I chose to use Unity because I thought it would be the best and simplest to make a 2D platformer game. I did run into an import problem, the art asset I imported from procreate is a little blurry and I found out that it was because of the canvas size in procreate. The canvas size was too big and made the assets small so when I magnify it in unity, it becomes blurry. I solved it by drawing the assets one by one in a canvas and then in Unity, I would shrink the assets so they are more detailed.
